x2d - studio/on-location editorials
setup 1; fashion, beauty
>XCD 3.5-4.5/35-75 (approx. 28-55mm on full frame)>XCD 1.9/80 (approx. 60mm on full frame)>XCD 2.8/135 (approx. 105mm on full frame)setup 2; portraits, boudoir
>XCD 1.9/80 (approx. 60mm on full frame)>XCD 2.8/135 (approx. 105mm on full frame)a7IV - i bring this as my on location only setup when i cant/dont have time to bring laptop/PC, monitors and tether setup to use with x2d
i use 1 setup for everything
>Sony 4/16-35 ZA (about to replace this with the 2.8/16-35 GM)>Sony 1.8/55 ZA>Sony 1.8/135 GMi use the wide zooms on both systems only for on-location mood/style based wide shots (im always around 28-35mm, never go wider), the XCD 80mm and Sony ZA 55mm for close to everything else and the XCD 135mm and GM 135mm for beauty shots, details, waist up shots, hands, nails, eyes, lips, head shots and other closeups, full body shots shot from the floor up, etc.
basically i use and can do literally everything i can think of with just XCD 80+135 on my x2d or Sony 55+135 on my a7iv. I basically dont need any other lenses/focal lengths, the 35-75 and 16-35 are there just because. i only use them to use them. i rarely want to/need to shoot wider than 50mm. used to use my 35-75 almost all the time and over time i figured that all the amazing wide composition shots look even better when shot around 75mm aka. 50mm full frame equivalent.
