>>3288743The spread of popularity is only down to better equipment. Ten years ago, you'd get satisfactory bif only with sports range cameras, and a shit ton of luck tracking and manually focusing. Card capacity alone was a problem. Now you've midrange cams capable of going 10+ fps, with 60gb cards going for a plate of beer, and acceptable telephoto lenses going below the five hundred mark. That's enough to get good shots even by bursting and praying on not so good af systems (pic related).
But what do you consider marketable? I know of nobody that is in profit by bifing along. It takes a lot of time, won't necessarily produce higher quality pics than stationary, and since it's darn hard to even catch certain species, you can be sure that it's nearly impossible to catch them in flight.
