(Laguna Seca, Willow Springs, Buttonwillow, Sonoma, etc.) I already own a 70-200 and even with a 1.4TC it's nowhere near long enough, plus I really like the compression effect from a super-long lens. I generally shot with the 500/4 when I was doing it as my primary job, but it's like $500 a week to rent.
Here's an example of a shot I couldn't have gotten without the 500, it's actually 500+1.4TC for around 700mm equivalent.
