i mean we all get what you mean and you are mostly right about people going mad over technical details and delivering shit but ops question wasnt loaded at all and absolutely valid.
that being said, i personally enjoy the nonexistence of bit depth as well as the texture of filmgrain a lot. also the whole 'get a decent amount of light and you are fine' with exposing negative film feels a lot better to me than the 'let me cut off those highlights senpai, also if you want decent dr better give those shadows some gain' devils deal of digital. plus developing bw at home and experiencing with chemicals and dev times is fun for me. for me:
bw film is max comfy
slide is max autism max results (i spot meter slide most of the time)
digital is videowork (allthough the bitdepth of my a6500 or basically every consumer camera tends to drive me crazy if i heavily grade) and rarely getting funky with post
but i shoot pictures only for me and would probably go digital in most cases for professional work like weddings
