Since this is a thread about macro on a budget, here's the least expensive lens I own, the Olympus 18-180 3.5-6.3, which I got for $60 and can regularly be had for $100 to $150. It's not a macro lens by any stretch but you can still have some macro fun with a cheap 10x superzoom. This lens is pretty fantastic for what it is, considering it's close focus distance is under 11in at 360mm equiv, which is really pretty amazing. Downsides are that it's slow, both in aperture and AF performance. But hey, $60...it's kind of phenomenal.
