>>4216817It's more like you can use auto in some situations if you want because it doesn't really change much, like in the case of this flower. In photos with lower light, movement, or lots of depth of field then yeah manual settings would be way more essential. The flower has none of those things going on really.
Here's is same flower at f/2 and 640 ISO if you care so much about it. A slightly higher aperture would have probably been better to get the entire flower in focus and get better IQ honestly. That's sorta why I snap a few with auto just to catch any errors I might make that I'm not noticing while outside.
