>>3760276It's basically low-key photography, but with more even lighting. A flash or flashes, as others say, but you don't need a dark background. Just close down your aperture or use high speed sync until the flash is the only visible light source. Use modifiers to make the light travel across the subject, but not bounce all around the room.
