>>4046736I guess the change was the differentiate with Nikon since they had gold rings. Canon has red rings, Nikon has gold, Pentax (while irrelevant) has gold and green, so I guess Sony stuck with orange badging, as they couldn't use the blue Zeiss badging forever. Not sure why orange of all colors though, but it's basically everywhere. Just look at their retail boxes.
