Getting to post on /vid/ has been incredibly helpful on just about every level, it was great to find some solace in understanding I wasn't the only one feeling the same sort of constant struggle and self-doubt towards filmmaking. If anyone remembers from earlier this year, I'm the anon who made the OP collage in pic related and was autistically screeching about being scared to film a scene with a naked female lead.
>But maybe you won't grow as cynical as meHell, I'm only 21, so for now it just makes me really happy that something I worked on for a while is actually getting screened in a film festival even if it's just for one short night. Hopefully I'll get to a point in my life like yours where getting into festivals is just résumé padding at best, but for now, it's cool as hell.
