>>3574211>muh photo sites!!!Let go of the pixel size myth. Since the introduction of gapless microlenses pixel size doesn't matter at all for SnR/high ISO. Only total number of photons collected. This is observably true across the board.
In fact: stop theorizing in your mind completely. Observe instead. You have FF and mft cameras and need to match DoF. You stop down 2 stops on the FF camera to match DoF. Shutter is fixed and mft ISO is 800 so you have to compensate by increasing FF ISO 2ev to ISO 3200. What do the results look like?
Well, here are the closest cameras in terms of pixel pitch and release year (2013 vs 2015) that I can find and WHAT A SURPRISE the ISO 3200 FF image and ISO 800 mft image look nearly the same in terms of noise.
THAT'S BECAUSE THEY GATHERED NEARLY THE SAME AMOUNT OF LIGHT.
Observation trumps theory. Observation always trumps theory. My theory predicts this. Yours does not (where did your 8x advantage go?). That's game, set, and match. At this point it's entirely your choice whether you want to believe reality or continue in delusion.
