There would be photographers who would get fed up without making money and would post stories about how there's no more free shots, only to shoot for free a week later. A lot of these guys just got into photography to expand their social circle with attractive women. On the same side of the coin not ever girl was a TFP model. They were mostly just girls who wanted really high quality images to post online for validation and likes. Out of the dozens that I knew and shot with only about 2-3% actually perused modelling and were getting paid for photoshoots with free clothing or got a small fee for runway work. Just like that same ego boost that guys got for posting "Professional Photographer" in their bios, the same for girls who had "Professional Model" in theirs's. Combined with a lot of girls not tagging you in their post or slapping a shitty filter on your work, only for them to proudly claim they edited your photo in a fancy way, was frustrating to say the least.
