>>3664366Funny you mention that, as having shot hundreds of rolls through both Ricoh R1 and Olympus MJU II cameras my experiences is the opposite of yours. I don't think my R1s ever missed focus and any MJU II I've owned maybe missed a shot every few months.
Perhaps it all comes down to individual cameras at this point. In that case, I push the idea of using whatever p&s you can buy for $20 even harder. Better to get a lemon for $20 than for $100+.
