Maybe you could have tried to put him on a vertical line of thirds, so that we'd pay attention both to the statue and the nature, there's also quite a bit of negative space on the right
I feel like with a slight change of position and framing you can make your subject pop a lot better.

>>4032242Thanks Anon, I agree with the close ups, I'm really not used to shooting small stuff and I was kinda giving it a try. Definitely a learning experience, I wouldn't say I'm satisfied with the pictures of flowers or even that poor cute mushroom and snail, they deserved better
