I've been to a few in my time, but I've always found it funny how many of these "hardcore protesters" don't actually fully understand why they are protesting. Their signs and banners are just as full of nebulous phrases as they are themselves. I spoke to several protesters at Occupy and most of them had no real idea of what they found morally or ethically wrong - they just blurted out vagueries or listed off statistics from unreliable left wing sources. Others were simply warped or misinformed.
