Are you for real? Have you just been doing your own thing for the last 20 years, or what?
In any case, film already died and has been reborn. Not for any good technical reason, just aesthetic/camera preference/hipster reasons.

In case this is not an epic troll thread: yes, going from a film camera with an uncoupled rangefinder to a 2010s autofocus camera will yield more keepers.
