As someone who has yet to switch from A-mount to E-mount - believe me, I want to, but it's quite a jump financially - I still don't understand why Sony decided to throw ergonomics out the window.
The A-mount bodies are basically perfect. They fit the hand like a glove, and everything is placed naturally. Then the E-mount bodies are these horrendous blocks with sharp edges everywhere and the mode dial on the right side among everything else. What was wrong with having it on the left side where there's absolutely nothing? Also they went with the weird standard hot shoe rather than the slick click-on Minolta one. And third party lens manufacturers still don't want to make tele lenses for them that much. Shooting with a big tele lens is the only way I could see the use of putting the mode dial on the right side, but if there aren't any, what's the point?
Just wondering what the deal is. May I please have a big bulky E-mount camera that feels good in the hands?
