I've pretty much settled on getting an A6000 as my first interchangeable lens camera.
I'm debating skipping the kit lens and investing in the SEL35F18 35mm f/1.8 Prime, to start. One of the reasons I want a good camera is to photograph the current city I'm living in. I wish I could show others the city as I see it, and I've read that this focal length is similar to the eye, so I feel like that's kind of what I want.
But I've also read that using a fixed focal length isn't the best idea for beginners, since the kit lens let's you experiment more.
Any thoughts?
