>>3559165I can only speak for myself. I started with photography with mirrorless so I don't have much DSLR experience. I do own some SLRs for film.
My previous two cameras were the Sony Nex 5n and the Sony A6000. Honestly I only really bought them because I didn't know what I was doing and /p/ shilled them relentlessly back then even worse than now. But over time I realised that I didn't *want* to use my Sony. The ergonomics are terrible. The shutter is loud af. The menus are insane, like not designed with a human in mind. It has zero weather sealing, I had a scare when it started raining once and my camera shut down from a few drops landing on it. I remember I noticed dust forming on my A6000 so I sold it and all my lenses. And bought a Fuji X-T2.
By comparison to the A6000 ergonomics are superb. Build quality is on another level, the A6000 is made of this PSP style plastic whereas the X-T2 has solid plastics with metal underneath. It has proper weather sealing, I've taken it out in snow and torrential rain without a hitch. The camera has easy menus and a quick menu for custom settings. Super customisable, for instance I don't use the top dials at all, I have it set to the front and rear dials swapping with quick presses. The RAWs have been really good (I use Capture One 12 since the Sony days so can't comment on Adobe) and overall I find that I *want* to use my X-T2 so I take more photos than before. That has to be worth something. If a camera is so unpleasant to use and so unequipped to handle a rainy day then you won't grab it when you leave the house.
