Even when I had a lot of leisure time, there was so much that I wanted to see and photograph that I couldn't spend too much time on one subject matter.
I did kind of like the rapidness and reliance on instinct that this often involved - it reminded me of photographing concerts, where I got my start.
That being said, I did experiment with many more angles than this selection may have suggested. I'm not even sure about the concept "optimal composition." Though I don't think I'm a strict aesthetic relativist, I also think there could be many different angles that could be of effectively equal artistry, rather than any one that is objectively "the best possible angle." But I'd consider your views on that.
