>>3458637I don't think the golden hour is bad, though honestly there's times when I just don't like the look of gold/yellow sunlight. I find that a few hours before sunset or after sunrise, rather then within a half an hour of either, gives nice light with long shadows that brings out the natural colors of the environment, rather than tinting it all "gold" which I sometimes prefer (pic related). I'm also a huge sucker for the blue hour stuff myself. I also love the blue/violet cast that appears opposite of where the sun is setting or rising; apparently that purple bit is actually the earth's shadow, something I learned from alex a while back.
>people leavinglol yeah, fuck crowds. I mean I don't mind being among them but for photos I typically like being by myself, and I actually shoot urban landscapes or "new topographics" far more often than typical landscapes because of where I live.
