A dx lens will always have the 35mm equivalent focal length in the description, or manual, or packaging or whatever, but an fx lens won't have a "24mm equivalent focal length" entry in its description. This might not be obvious to someone who's asking for advice and has an entry level body, I've seen people on the internet complain that their 35mm lens was cropping on their APS-C body.
