I bet I can get a good pan shot with a digital point and shoot, with no stabilization, before the end of the event, assuming it happens, and if I don't I will leave /p/ forever. I have a Fuji XP that has stabilization and I'll disable it and do some pans with it and I bet I get a sharp one. It's got about 100mm equivalent optical zoom so I'll have to get close to cars but I'm sure I can get some people in the pits or something.
