I've also been thinking about image resolution and how it affects the reception but that's a different topic. The idea is something to the effect of the obvious that resolution can create an impressionistic effect where the viewer fills in the gaps in a personal way, but there's also this inverse where a low resolution image creates the idea that something is greater and cannot be captured. It's probably been done but it's something to chew on.
