Provia is far and away the most forgiving of the "currently available" slide films, but you really do get the best results using a newer matrix metering camera like an EOS 30 or F100. This was on an Olympus OM-20, which spits out amazing auto-exposures on neg film, but as you can see just started to lose the highlights here in a pretty simply lighting scenario.
