What matters is how it works in low light handheld as this is where the majority of people will be using it. Like how Google markets Night mode in their phones, they mean "good low light performance as you carry your phone around" not how it handles on a tripod or gimbal. Any review which mentions low light performance means handheld use too.
I don't think the GR flash is very popular but flash, in general, is a next level skill progression in photography. 99% of /p/ can't wrap their minds around manual flash, which is how the GR in-body flash works. You manually punch in the flash power and go. Show the average /p/ user a manual flash and they won't know what to do. Just how it is. It's more challenging than putting your camera in aperture priority mode and keeping it on f1.8.
>>3560468If that's the case then I'm not sure it's worth it. IBIS on a wide angle lens isn't super useful. But the flash also had issues as the space below the pop up flash was a major ingress point for dust, I think overall it was probably going to be left out of the GR III. But there's the Flash Q20 so it's really not a huge deal
