>>4484152Yup pretty much iirc it has to do more with it being a half-assed effort + K mount having a long flange distance that only works if you have a adapter or a thick body like the K-01 did.
The whole argument for shooting Pentax is using M42 and manual K mount lenses. If you can't use ancient lenses on it then a lot of the appeal is lost...but the cameras are expensive + outdated enough the boomers with the film lens collections are dying off or catching up with the times and switching brands. Usually Sony FF from what I noticed or the newer Nikon Zs with one or two going OM or Fuji.
>>4484107They're still too expensive. "The joy of reflex" would be appreciated if they made comparable cameras to the last gen CanoNikon DSLRs for what they're asking. K3-III and K1-II costing $1800 was perfectly okay when they first released since they were actually the same price or less than comparable DSLRs. But those DSLRs got cheaper...the mirrorless cameras improved.
I kinda wanna try a K3-III. I do love how the K1II has me shooting under 1600 ISO for most of my shots but I hate how I have misses and soft shots. Pic rel is one of my favorite pics from the trip and makes me wish I spent more of my trip in Nice, no edits just a resize.
