Yeah, the stereo controls are washed out, but the shadows are completely back, which would usually be an indication of underexposure if you weren't shooting night scenes. The camera appears to have exposed for the road. It all depends on what kind of effect you want to give the photo, though. If you think the road is too bright, you could change the exposure in postprocessing.
For reference, this is what the photo looks like when I apply a two stop underexposure in Lightroom. It's actually not terrible, so I should take back my incredulity about you saying the photo is overexposed.
