I'm buying an X-t3 soon. I don't care what you think of this choice, positive or negative.
What I do care about is the fact that I really don't know anywhere near as much as I should about focal length. I know that I'm going to get one cheaper lens (a 35mm) and one higher priced lens. This is just me spending the amount of money I know I'm able to spend.
My question is what other lens should I get, for the higher end one? Would it be pointless to get a 50mm when I'll already have a 35mm? I truly don't know how big the difference really is, and I'm also somewhat confused about "equivalent focal length". For instance, if a 50mm lens has a 35mm equivalent focal length, why call it 50mm?
TL;DR: Tell me what lens to get to go with my new X-t3
