>>3515730Yeah, I own a 620 and a 50e/Elan II which is closer to a Rebel. The 50e has some really nice features like eye autofocus (the focus point goes wherever your eye looks) but it comes down to build quality for me. The 620 is a professional tier Canon camera and it's built like a tank. It's rock solid and I never worry about it breaking. Every part of the materials and build feel premium. When I pick up the 50e it feels really plastic and hollow. I even got a battery grip to see if it would add some weight but even with that it just doesn't feel well made. It FEELS cheap, even if it has nice features.
The 620 is one of the first EOS film cameras which is why it's so cheap now, it definitely hasn't got the advancements Canon added later, but it's probably the best built camera I own next to my Fuji X-T2. And it's so cheap like
>>3515503 listing it's just a pleasure to use a pro camera I'd never have been able to afford back then.
>>3515742You've clearly never used a 620 if you think it feels cheap. It's as well made and heavy as a 5D MKII. I know I can't stop people lying on the internet but yeah. The film doesn't wind slowly or loudly. It doesn't feel plasticky other than the grip which is rubberised for better finger traction. The body otherwise feels like metal. It's fairly heavy. And the AF isn't jumpy. It locks into centre point just fine, especially with STM motors.
