>>3521768The 50 1.8 AF-D is basically a Series E 50 1.8 with AF and a little bit better coatings. It's a winner at f2.5 and up. I had one in my bag for a while.
The 1.4-D has it's own wide-open issues. It's a bit soft and has hellacious sphereochomatic abberations in the blue range on high contrast points of light, pic related. It's still a winner and I kind of like the whole dreamy look it does wide open.
