>>4161541Here is the digital file. They were taken back to back, on a tripod, of the same subject, with the same lens (nikkor 105 macro). The digital shot(nikon d610) is clearly higher resolution and has less noise.
If you're interested, I have some scans of 4x5 slides and negatives using my S1r in high resolution mode. I can tell you that 188mp btfos 4x5. While comparable in resolution, the 4x5 shots have much more noise than the digital file. I can post 100% crops of the 4x5 scans, you can clearly see the grain.
