>>4418883night is hard even with the right setup, and using 200iso film isn't going to do you any favors. i'm guessing you were either shooing a camera with some sort of A mode or had set the shutter to 1/15; which is going to be pretty hard to hand stabilize even with a compact 50mm. Higher iso film (I shoot night mostly on the various 500T respools rated at 800, sometimes porta 800) will help you raise the shutter speed, but you'll still end up with blown out highlights still if you're trying to capture both bright lights and things not directly lit by them. picrel i'm pretty unhappy with from that same roll above, because of exactly that. exposing it stopped down or with a faster shutter would have actually captured the light and what was being directly lit by it at a solidly bright level, while only really darkening the things I wanted to be darker anyway.
