I also have just seen that the 80d is not really truly weather sealed just weather resistance and the real weather sealing is reserved for the high end cameras so maybe it's not as good but probably better than nothing. Although I shot my old T5 in the snow, light rain and other weather and never really ran into any problems and I didn't even use a plastic rain bag for the camera which I ordered for my T7i beforehand in preparation.
