I've used an 18-135 myself, and I sometimes been curious of how different my images would look if I could zoom even further.
...But then I noticed most of the landscape images uploaded with this lens are taken at 70mm. And sometime below 200mm. But never above 200mm.
That kind of makes me suspicious about the need for the long reach.
