Here, kiddo. I went out in my backyard a bit earlier and fucked around with that old, broken 18-180mm superzoom. Here I'm testing it's macro abilities. Yes, macro abilities with a superzoom, since unlike FF zooms, this superzoom has a close focusing distance of 11 inches at 360mm equiv. There is nothing on FF that even comes anywhere close to that.
Even at f6.3 the DoF at that focal length and that distance is so thin almost nothing is in focus. My focal point was the tiny stamen in the center of the flower. This again was handheld, and the flower was not stationary, there was a breeze.
For a $60 lens that normally can be had for $150 used, this is a pretty fucking impressive result.
Now, go ahead and go take a picture in your backyard anon! Go ask your dad for permission, let's see what that big lens can do!
