>>4021293More on that last bit, filter EV ratings are based on total light reduction, except red filters and polarizers that have such an intense and variable effect that they just put 3-8x on it and call it a day. Here's an old spec sheet that's half wrong and doesn't apply to current filters. I really, really don't trust those numbers for ortho film and even the apparent effect of a light yellow filter on exposure is extremely variable.
