You can buy black and white film that develops in colour chemicals.
Go buy 5 rolls of Ilford XP2 Super. Take pictures of your friends. Bring it into Walgreens. Because they dev in colour chems they won't be fucked, you'll get them devved and scanned cheaper and faster than normal black and white. Shoot those 5 rolls on the same camera with the same lens and then do some reflection on what you can do better. You'll probably fuck things up or load the film wrong. That's ok you'll learn.
