For slide film, You can still order Arista E6 development kits which will dramatically cut down on costs and it's so much faster than waiting to get the film back from the lab. For me, velvia 50 catches subtle colors that no other film can, and saturation from long exposures can take on an otherworldly look. Slide film is always worth the effort. Here's a flatbed scan from my last roll.
