I found a really nice Vivitar 35mm f1.9 at a thrift store $15 bucks. It's one of the older Vivitar/Komine so it's pretty decent quality.
Only problem is the filter thread has a dent in it. If I buy that filter thread fixing tool from amazon for $40, would that fix it? I've heard sometimes it works and sometimes it puts too much pressure on the lens and messes it up more than it already is.
Another option is to JB Weld a step-up ring to it to have a working filter thread that's just slightly larger.
