He threw out a bunch of stuff when he moved out, and I scrounged a bunch of camera gear and a lot of his own negatives and slides from the trash, in addition to this collection. He had told me a bit about his father before, and had some of his jazz musician portraits framed in the office. Cool guy, always very interesting to talk to, and one of the earlier photographers that I know of to concentrate on abandoned buildings as a recurring theme.
