And the places that do charge $20 if not more for a roll of C41.
That's why I started developing colour myself. I always did with b&w but back when I could get a roll of Kodak Gold + dev. for the price of a pack of cigarettes I couldn't be bothered with with the temp. management. I sure as hell can now, though.
It's not that bad once you're used to it either. I just use a warm water bath in my kitchen sink to maintain temp. and check with a rectal thermometer I got used from a hospital. It works fine for both E6 and C41.
You need to scan the film after that of course. Some folks here use a DSLR scanning setup which seems to work for them. I use a v550 and a Plustek 8100. A matter of taste and budget maybe.
I only have a handful of film scans on this computer, the rest being in storage. I think this is Velvia 50 or 100 in medium format but don't quote me on it.
