Pic related; the luminosity noise of regular film grain creates incredibly subtle shifts in the perceived tone; your fine grain/shit quality film (paired with your apartheid-era scan/edit & insistence on posting 60mp jpegs at 10:1 compression) is just blotchy in areas of continuous tone.
