>>3535994>Doesn't seem that hard to do with LightroomYe honestly, thats the case when it comes to most gear related degeneracy. You can get good results just by doing it on lightroom, most people won't care, but you'll get noticeably better results with a monochrome camera.
You don't need a lens with really wide aperture to get really shallow dof and bokeh, you don't need a tilt shift lens to fix distortion, you don't need newer lenses that have improved on chromatic abberation, you can fix that all in photoshop and lightroom, but getting the gear for those will produce noticeably better results
