>>4165074I recently picked up a Vivitar XV-1. In beautiful condition, mint, and even have the recipes from the 80s when it was bought in Europe. The battery on the underside, is supposed to be a 1.35v mercury battery, something about discharge being even and balancing the meter. Do I have to use that specific battery, or is a lithium of the same size/voltage applicable? I am fairly new to this, as I started using point and shoots just for composition, but I want to try my hand at the more complicated cameras. Thanks!
