The same goes for the screen and energy saving tech. With a DSLR you have the option of using the optical viewfinder and keeping the screen turned off 99% of the time, which is what I do with mine. I can take 5000 photos with my D3400 before I need to recharge the battery, if I properly manage the amount of time the screen needs to be turned on. I found the more I use it, the less I need the screen. When I first started out, I was getting like 500 photos per recharge because I didn't know what features to turn off and how to change things and menus as well as using AF lenses.
Basically, what I'm saying is that any tech upgrade a mirrorless can get for energy saving and battery life extension, a DSLR can also get and do it better.
