>>3624509this is my anecdotal experience. you mention non-cine lenses. ngenerally dslr lenses have more breathing than cine lenses. plenty of dslr lenses still focus by lengthening/shortening the total length. nicer ones focus internally and have less breathing. primes do better than zooms. new do better than old. if you want to minimize focus breathing, open your wallet.
