>>2586031I haven't tried any color printing. My enlarger head does have the color filters, but I haven't gone through the trouble of printing in complete dark without a safe light and more involved process of developing the color paper. Not to mention that half of my color shots are on slide an Cibachrome is nearly extinct and would be hard to master at this point. I think trying to print color optically would cost me too much time that I could be spending in the field or doing business. As for your other question, my workflow has become rather integrated with digital post processing because that's the way I've taught myself. This still a lot of reasons I use film aside from optical prints, and I do try to maintain a level of purity in the photos. Many adjustments are global, and if they aren't global I use a lot of gradient masks which are super easy to do in a darkroom. The trickiest thing to duplicate in a darkroom would be luminosity masks, but those can be done by making b&w copies of slides. Either way, I don't think I see myself committing the time and resources to learn color printing.
>>2586217The trickiest part is filling the fluid to the correct level. The DSG filter is below the battery tray and rather straightforward, but the fluid is filled from the bottom because there is no dipstick on those transmissions. There is a tube that goes into the drain plug hole that acts as a dipstick. You remove the plug and the tube to drain the fluid, then you put the tube in and add 5 quarts with a special tool. The final level adjustment is made with the vehicle idling and the trans temp between 35-45°C. If you have any doubts you may be best off going to the dealer. Besides, there's probably a free ECM update waiting for you at the dealership.
