My A7M3 with firmware 3.10 got stuck several times. Connected was a Canon 70-200 IS II over the Sigma MC-11 with firmware 1.33, Silent Shutter was active, through the custom modes I recalled a user program for AF-S on the center field for several seconds, also kept the focus for several seconds but now and then re-focused, shooting in between until it got stuck. The UI got stuck, switching on and off did not help. I finally had to remove the battery. Booting up again, the camera showed the hanging screen for a short time, but then continued with the normal operation.

Is anyone here already familiar with this or something similar?
