Was about to walt to Blaenau Ffestiniog but changed my mind because I wasn't sure if there are campsites (of course there are, should've checked Google Maps). Ended up walking all the way to Pont-y-Pant in what I thought was a boring little side valley without any peaks. Lost my way once more, stumbled with my phone torch through a forest, only to be greeted by a herd of cattle when I emerged from it; nearly made me shit my pants
The campsite I ended up at didn't have any showers but free apples and a lovely little Swiss lady with dementia (I assume) who ran it
Erecting your tent in the dark is no fun, but the way bach to Pont-y-Pant absolutely was (pic related, Afon Lledr; a rare occasion to use the 10-24 mm)
