>>3613982That's a good question. I know on the Pentax Q10 it wrecks autofocus; which uses contrast detection. One person decided to grind down the flange instead of replacing the hot mirror with clear glass. Not sure why.
>>3613990>>3613989The Q7 is a bit better in regard to photo quality and it has a slightly larger sensor with larger pixels. You can also pick them up used for under $300 with the "02" 5-15mm zoom lens. The QC is good enough for prints. No OVF for either Q7 or Q10, but 3rd party batteries are ultra cheap and recharge fairly quickly. If you want to fit it in your pants pocket you'll need the "07 11.5mm f/9 Mount Shield Lens" which is like $25, but is fixed focus/fixed aperture. I can fit my Q7 with the 02 zoom lens in my oversized jean pockets and coat pocket so long as I reverse the lens hood. It has noise reduction that is applied with any ISO more than 400 which can't be turned off, but can be turned down. I use mine for snapshits and documenting since it is loads faster and easier to use than my D3400 for things I don't care about too much. The Q7-Q10 use Q-mount and Fotodiox has a complete line of mount adapters for pretty much all other lens mounts for other camera companies. So, I use my manual Nikon F-mount lenses on it. Being tiny, with short FFD, and changeable lenses is the only reason I got it. I was disappointed at first, but now I actually like it.
